CeBIT - Hannover (IF Awards Ceremony)
The IF awards were held at the Hanover Messa this year. Given the success of CMD in this years IF awards, I used this as an excuse to be present at the awards ceremony. A grand gathering of the worlds best designers it was. Sony, Canon, Philips and Apple were all represented, with some very famous designers present to receive honours. Apple got the most gold on the night with seven trophies.
Australia had several winners, namely; CMD (Flaik), Breville (Coffee maker and Toaster) and Blue sky (Dosh wallet). Breville won a gold for the coffee maker so a huge well done to them.
The trade show itself was a large and engrossing affair, with some extraordinary technology on display. Most notable were the interface technologies: Including Retina controlled devices; mind controlled robots; 3d imaging software; and, medical diagnostic imaging.
Attached below are a few pictures from the trip. The IF awards building and some IF award student work.
