Australian International Design Awards - Snowsports Flaik

In 2008 the Flaik (SnowSports Interactive) received the acclaimed Design Award™ of the year. Flaik is a personal tracking device designed for skiers and snowboarders. It fuses the technologies of GPS, GSM and GPRS and maps performance in real-time against other riders anywhere in the world.

The Judges proclaimed Flaik as:

“A total solution to performance tracking with worldwide market appeal, super high quality and strong visibility. This is an exciting product with a completely new visual language that doesn’t follow trends or existing ideas. It boldly reshapes the culture of snow sports by connecting a global network of players through clever technology and rental options.”
